At EML we highly pride ourselves on our ability to deliver cost effective, unique and effective bespoke display solutions. We love nothing more than the opportunity to sit and brainstorm our way through a customers display quandary.
Based on this it’s not surprising that when a brief landed in our inbox to create a number of functioning blow football tables for a promotion we leapt at the opportunity.
The brief arrived not only with a number of logistical challenges but also an exceptionally tight timescale so we had our work cut out for us. The perfect opportunity to rise to the challenge and demonstrate our extensive capabilities.
The process began with getting some impressive and impactful visuals in front of the client. These were loved and quickly approved resulting in a closely followed Purchase Order. The clock had started ticking giving us just 48 hours from order to delivery.
There were a considerable number of processes involved in production including matching acrylic to a specific shade of grass green, printing and applying vinyl direct to acrylic , syringe gluing for a flawless finish, creating a hinged solution to enable the table to fold whilst lying flush when in situ.
In addition to these processes we also faced the challenge of creating bespoke goal posts after our original vision of using Subbuteo goal posts fell short. The tables ended up looking so sleek that the contrast of the old school slightly tatty goals just didn’t work the way that we had envisioned. Despite the tight deadline rather than settling for a sub standard finish we manufactured bespoke goal posts that finished the whole look off perfectly.
The final challenge in the process was to source branded balls to be used on the pitch. Whilst we have our own in house pad printing and screen printing facilities it transpired that on this occasion due to the spherical nature of the balls it was a more cost effective option to outsource this part. This was provided by the very efficient, helpful and aptly named Best For Balls.
These completed the job perfectly and all efforts combined resulted in a professional looking, cost effective and really fun solution that our client was absolutely thrilled with. Don’t tell anyone but we may even have had a small go on one of them before they left the building … well we had to quality check them to make sure that they worked.
